Innovative Netflix procedural drama ‘Criminal‘ has landed a trailer for its 2nd Season, which premiere Wednesday, 16th September, and reveals the guest stars who will be playing the part of the people facing the police interview suite.
The revolutionary procedural takes place exclusively within the confines of a police interview suite, in a stripped-down, cat-and-mouse drama focuses on the intense mental conflict between detectives and suspects. The casting for the drama sees the law enforcement side as the regular cast, with guest stars taking the roles of the accused, or persons being questioned.
Season two with feature four new cases, four new suspects and one room that changes everything. It’s another impressive lineup which includes ‘Game Of Thrones’ King In The North, Kit Harington, a great shift in gears for ‘The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar, ‘Catastrophe’ actress and co-creator Sharon Horgan, and the always fabulous Sophie Okonedo (‘Flack’, ‘The Hollow Crown’, ‘Ratched’).
Katherine Kelly (‘Class’, ‘Strike Back’), Lee Ingleby (‘Inspector George Gently’, ‘Line of Duty’), Mark Stanley (‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Dickensian’), Rochenda Sandall (‘Line of Duty’), and Shubham Saraf (‘Bodyguard’) are back to make up the law enforcement series regulars. The one member of the first season cast who appears to be missing is Nicholas Pinnock, I suspect due to him currently starring on ABC drama ‘For Life’, which is set to air on Sky Witness later this year.
‘Criminal’ is an Idiotlamp Production for Netflix from co-creators & showrunners George Kay (‘Killing Eve’, ‘The Hour’) and Jim Field Smith (‘Endeavour’, ‘The Wrong Mans’). The second season features four episodes.
‘Criminal‘ Season 2 premieres Wednesday, 16th September 2020 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
