FOX UK To Air Single Seasons Of ‘The Family’ & ‘Minority Report’ TV Series This October

In some pandemic, schedule-filling programming, FOX UK has been digging through Disney’s box of cancelled shows and added thriller The Family, and the Minority Report tv series to their October line-up.

‘The Family’ follows the shocking reappearance that forces an entire family to re-examine who they are, unearthing long-buried secrets, betrayals and heartache. When a politician’s presumed dead son, Adam Warren (Liam James, ‘The Way, Way Back’), suddenly returns a decade later, his arrival is initially met with astonishment and joy, but suspicions begin to emerge.

Having survived the heartbreaking loss of her son, Claire Warren (Joan Allen, ‘Nixon’), has used her resilience and surrounding adversity in the aftermath of this tragedy to fuel her own political aspirations and rise to power. But the unfolding mystery impacts the entire family, as Claire’s relationship with her savvy political daughter Willa (Alison Pill, ‘American Horror Story’), cynical eldest son Danny (Zach Gilford, ‘Friday Night Lights’), and husband John (Rupert Graves, ‘The Forsyte Saga’) starts to fall apart at the seams.

‘Minority Report’ sees an unlikely partnership between one man haunted by the future, and a cop haunted by her past forms, the pair find themselves in a race to stop the worst crimes of the year 2065, before they happen. Set in Washington, D.C., 10 years after the demise of Precrime, a law enforcement agency that relied on precogs who could see into the future, Dash (Stark Sands, ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’) and the brash but shrewd Detective Lara Vega (Meagan Good, ‘Think Like a Man’) must use sophisticated and trusted technology to identify and eliminate crimes before they happen.

Driven by his terrifying but fragmented visions, Dash has returned to Washington in secret to help Detective Lara Vega attempt to stop the murders that he predicts. As they navigate this future for America, they forage an uneasy alliance with Dash’s manipulative twin brother, Arthur (Nick Zano, ‘90210’), an empire-builder who uses his ability to advance his own self-interest, and elude others who will stop at nothing to exploit their precognitive abilities.

The Family‘ is set to premiere Sunday, 11th October 2020 at 9pm, whilst Minority Report‘ premieres Wednesday, 21st October 2020 at 9pm, both on FOX UK. As I mentioned at the top, don’t get attached, as both shows were cancelled after one season.
