Netflix has set an October premiere date and released a trailer for ‘David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet’, which sees Sir David Attenborough talk about the how the world has changed drastically in his lifetime, and share his personal witness statement and vision for the future.
Produced by award-winning wildlife filmmakers Silverback Films and global environmental organization WWF, this unique feature documentary tells the story of life on our planet by the man who has seen more of the natural world than any other. In more than 90 years, Attenborough has visited every continent on the globe, exploring the wild places of our planet and documenting the living world in all its variety and wonder. Addressing the biggest challenges facing life on our planet, the film offers a powerful message of hope for future generations.
National treasure Sir David Attenborough has been a staple of nature broadcasting since he first joined the BBC in 1952. From the ‘Life…’ series which began with ‘Life on Earth’ in 1979, to ‘The Blue Planet’, and the recent ‘Seven Worlds, One Planet’, he has become the most trusted voice in the planet about the natural world. He was also responsible for commissioning ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus’ whilst he was BBC Director of Programmes in 1969, so we can thank him for that too!
