Channel 4 Renews ‘Stath Lets Flats’ For Season 3

In news which probably doesn’t surprise anyone, Channel 4 has announced the critically acclaimed and multi-BAFTA award-winning comedy, Stath Lets Flats will return for a 3rd Season on the UK broadcaster.

The series follows writer-performer Jamie Demetriou (‘Fleabag’, ‘Paddington 2’) as Stath, the hopeless Greek-Cypriot lettings agent at the family business Michael & Eagle Lettings. Joining Jamie in reprising their roles are Natasia Demetriou (‘What We Do In The Shadows’), Al Roberts (‘King Gary’), Christos Stergioglou (‘Dogtooth’), Katy Wix (‘Ghosts’), Kiell Smith-Bynoe (‘Ghosts’), and Ellie White (‘The Other One’).

Season 3 will pick up from the shock cliff-hanger ending of Season 2, as the incompetent letting agent is faced with rescuing the family business, Michael & Eagle, and his relationship with Katia, while expecting his first child by Carole. Meanwhile, his sister, Sophie, and best friend, Al, deal with the fallout of finally declaring their feelings for each other.

“This is lovely. I love Channel 4. Thanks so much for having us back for a series 3,” comments Demetriou. “Sorry the title is still hard to say. Love Jamie Demetriou from Stalph Les Flav”.

This was followed by a statement from Stath himself saying: “Thank you so truly for this energetically and development news. I never seen something on Channel For (4) in my life, but someone told me they done a programme about people being embarrassed about their body. Which is a shame. I’m proud of my body, even though my eyebrow is a bit too wide and I’m panickin’ it’s joinin’ to my head hair.”

“Stalph Les Flav” took home three prestigious awards at this year’s BAFTA ceremony: Best Male Actor in a comedy, Best Writer of a Comedy and the programme itself won the award for Best Scripted Comedy, beating ‘Catastrophe’, ‘Derry Girls’, and ‘Fleabag’.

“Stath’s irrepressible and bewildering approach to life, love and business is just what the nation needs right now,” adds Fiona McDermott, Head of Comedy at Channel 4. “We’re so proud of Jamie and the team’s multiple award-success and delighted that we can celebrate this roster of incredible domestic talent by backing another series”.

‘Stath Lets Flats’ was commissioned for Channel 4 by Fiona McDermott, Head of Comedy and Jack Bayles, Commissioning Editor for Comedy. It is a Roughcut TV production. Executive Producers are Jamie Demetriou and Ash Atalla. Series 3 will be written by Jamie Demetriou.

No news yet on when ‘Stath Lets Flats‘ Season 3 will premiere, but we’ll let you know when we hear more. The series airs on Channel 4 in the UK and HBO Max in the USA.
