‘Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled‘ is back, as UKTV announce the comedian’s unstructured chat show will return to Dave for a 6th Season after four years off the air.
For those of you who haven’t caught the show before, it features an unscripted round-table style chat between the host and four well-known celebrity guests from the world of comedy and entertainment. The group talk through various stories and anecdotes on whatever topics happen to come up, before deciding on a title for the episode, based on their conversations, at the end of the show.
“I love this show, it’s always warm, engaging and hilarious,” commented Dave by Head Of Comedy Iain Coyle. “Alan has such a gift for teasing brilliant stories and humour out of people, it always makes me want to be around the table with them.”
Last airing in 2017, ‘Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled’ welcomed a mix of high-profile stars with up and coming talent, offering a much-needed platform for new comedians. Guests have previously included Stephen Fry, Catherine Tate and Katherine Ryan plus Lou Sanders, Lucy Beaumont and Romesh Ranganathan, all sharing funny stories about everything from brushes with royalty to bizarre encounters and an insight into life on the comedy road.
The critically acclaimed series is produced by Phil McIntyre Television. It is commissioned for Dave by Head Of Comedy Iain Coyle and ordered by Dave channel director Luke Hales. Richard Watsham is UKTV’s director of commissioning and Steve North is genre general manager for entertainment and comedy. Lucy Ansbro will exec produce for Phil McIntyre, alongside Iain Coyle for UKTV. Lindsay Jex is series producer.
The returning series will join brand UKTV Original series ‘Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable’, along with the 3rd series of ‘Hypothetical’ with Josh Widdicombe and James Acaster. For those of you looking for comedy a bit earlier than that, Christmas specials of hit UKTV Original series ‘Meet the Richardsons’ and ‘Big Zuu’s Big Eats’ air this week on Dave.
‘Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled‘ Season 6 will record in December and January at The Roundhouse in Camden, with the episodes airing on Dave in Spring 2021.
