‘Soulmates’: Amazon Prime Video Sets Feb Premiere For AMC Sci-Fi Anthology

Amazon Prime Video has picked up the rights to AMC’s sci-fi anthology series Soulmates across Europe (excluding Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar, and Andorra), Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, setting a February premiere date it has been announced.

Written by Emmy Award-winner, co-creator and executive producer Will Bridges (‘Stranger Things’, ‘Black Mirror’) with co-creator and executive producer Brett Goldstein (‘Ted Lasso’, ‘Superbob’, ‘Adult Life Skills’), ‘Soulmates’ is set fifteen years into the future, when science has made a discovery that changes the lives of everyone on the planet – a test that unequivocally tells you who your soulmate is. Each of the six one-hour episodes features a different cast and explore an entirely new story around discovering (or opting not to discover) the results of this new test and the impact of those results on a myriad of relationships.

Season 1 of the series, which has already been renewed for a second season, includes an impressive cast such as Sarah Snook (‘Succession’), Kingsley Ben-Adir (‘The OA’, ‘Peaky Blinders’), David Costabile (‘Billions’, ‘Breaking Bad’), Dolly Wells (‘Dracula’, ‘Doll & Em’), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (‘Misfits’, ‘Utopia’), Bill Skarsgard (‘Castle Rock’, ‘It’), Sonya Cassidy (‘Humans’), Betsy Brandt (‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Life in Pieces’), Steven Mackintosh (‘Rocketman’, ‘Stan Lee’s Lucky Man’), Malin Akerman (‘Billions’, ‘Watchmen’), and Charlie Heaton (‘Stranger Things’).

Bridges and Goldstein exec produce the series alongside Jolyon Symond (‘Hustle’, ‘Breathless’). Directors across the drama include Rob Savage (‘Britannia’), Marco Kreuzpaintner (‘Beat’), Andrea Harkin (‘The Trial of Christine Keeler’), and Bridges himself.

Soulmates‘ Season 1 premieres Monday, 8th February 2021 on Amazon Prime Video UK.
