‘Resident Alien’ – Sky One Set Jan UK Premiere Date For Sci-Fi Comedy Starring Alan Tudyk
Sky One has set a January UK premiere date (one day after the USA) for ‘Resident Alien‘, a new sci-fi comedy adaptation of the Dark Horse comic book, starring Alan Tudyk.
A crash-landed alien (Tudyk) who must take on the identity of a small-town doctor and somehow find a way to fit in with the local human population. While discovering what it means to be human, he’ll begin to question whether humanity is worth saving as he grapples with the morality of his secret mission on Earth.
Tudyk is, of course, the much-loved star of ‘Firefly’ where he played pilot Hoban “Wash” Washburne. Since the tragic demise of that series, he has starred in films such as ‘Rogue One’, ‘Trumbo’, and ‘Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials’, along with tv series such as ‘Powerless’, ‘The Tick’ and can currently be seen in DC Universe’s ‘Doom Patrol’.
Alongside Tudyk, the series stars Sara Tomko (‘Once Upon A Time’), Corey Reynolds (‘The Closer’), Alice Wetterlund (‘People of Earth’) and Levi Fiehler (‘Mars’).
This twisted and comedic fish-out-of-water story is based on the Dark Horse comic book of the same name by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse. The pilot was directed and executive-produced by David Dobkin (‘Into the Badlands’), while Chris Sheridan (‘Family Guy’), Mike Richardson (‘Hellboy’), and Keith Goldberg (‘The Legend of Tarzan’) of Dark Horse Entertainment are also executive producers, along with Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank of Amblin TV.
‘Resident Alien‘ Season 1 will premiere Thursday, 28th January 2021 at 9pm on Sky One. The series begins airing January 27, 2021, at 10pm on Syfy in the USA.
