Amazon has released a trailer for upcoming disaster movie ‘Greenland’, starring Gerard Butler (‘Angel Has Fallen’) and Morena Baccarini (‘Deadpool’, ‘Gotham’), which premieres Friday 5th February 2021 exclusively on the streaming service.

In the action-packed disaster-thriller Greenland, a family fights for survival as a planet-killing comet race to Earth. John Garrity (Butler), his estranged wife Allison (Baccarin), and young son Nathan make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary. Amid terrifying news accounts of cities around the world being levelled by the comet’s fragments, the Garritys experience the best and worst in humanity while they battle the increasing panic and lawlessness surrounding them. As the countdown to global apocalypse approaches zero, their incredible trek culminates in a desperate and last-minute flight to a possible safe haven.

The movie is directed by Ric Roman Waugh (‘Angel Has Fallen’) and written by Chris Sparling (‘Buried’, ‘The Sea of Trees’). Butler produces the movie alongside Basil Iwanyk, Sébastien Raybaud, and Alan Siegel.

‘Greenland’ will join thousands of movies and TV shows on Prime Video, including Amazon Originals ‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm’, ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’, ‘The Boys’, and local Originals ‘All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur’ and ‘Truth Seekers’, which are available at no extra cost to a Prime membership.

‘Greenland’ premieres Friday, 5th February 2021 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
