‘The Good Doctor’: Season 4 Gets March UK Premiere Date On NOW TV & Sky Witness
‘The Good Doctor‘ is set to return this March on NOW TV and Sky Witness the broadcasters have announced.
From ‘House’ creator David Shore, the series stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, continues to use his extraordinary medical gifts at St. Bonaventure Hospital’s surgical unit. As his friendships deepen, Shaun continues to tackle the world of dating and romantic relationships, and work harder than he ever has before, navigating his environment to prove to his colleagues that his talents as a surgeon will save lives.
As we head into Season 4, like many medical dramas, the series will begin dealing with life under the cloud of COVID-19. Murphy treats a patient with an illness that is not only unpredictable in nature, but also unlike anything he or the team at San Jose St. Bonaventure has ever seen before. As safety protocols and quarantines increase due to the global pandemic, Lea (Paige Spara) and Shaun’s new relationship will become tested.
Thinks are also changing for Shaun’s coworkers, as Dr. Alex Park (Will Yun Lee) gets ready to move back to Phoenix, Arizona, to be closer to his family,. Meanwhile, Dr. Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) navigates her way around the clinic following her departure from the surgery team and unknowingly puts herself and several members of the staff in danger. Finally, Dr. Claire Brown (Antonia Thomas) continues to work through her grief, still reeling from the sudden death of Dr. Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez).
The series also stars Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman. Schiff, along his real-life and on-screen wife, Sheila Kelley, both contracted COVID back in November last year. Although he did spend some time in hospital, thankfully they both seem to have come through it okay.
David Shore serves as executive producer and showrunner on the series. Daniel Dae Kim, Erin Gunn, David Kim and Sebastian Lee are also executive producers.
‘The Good Doctor‘ Season 4 premieres Tuesday, 16th March 2021 from 9pm on NOW TV and Sky Witness in the UK.
