‘This Time with Alan Partridge’ Season 2 Gets April Premiere Date On BBC One

Alan Partridge returns to BBC One, as the UK broadcaster announces an April premiere date for This Time with Alan Partridge Season 2.

Alan is back as co-host of BBC One magazine show This Time, relishing his career Indian summer and the chance to showcase his broadcasting chops to the nation every weekday evening. But conscious of being left in the shadow of co-presenter Jennie and alert to potential changes behind the scenes, Alan grows ever more anxious about his place in the big time. Now the main man on the show, Alan is thrillingly in his depth. But with changes behind the scenes, could his position be in jeopardy?

The, um… “beloved?”… tv host stepped into the role as guest presenter last season when This Time’s regular host was struck with a sudden illness. It marked his first return to live television since his 90s chat show ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ was cancelled after a guest was fatally shot on air.

Joining Alan (Steve Coogan) will be Jennie Gresham (Susannah Fielding), Lynn Benfield (Felicity Montagu), Simon Denton (Tim Key), Leila Farzad (Clarissa Hoskin), Father Paul (Simon Kunz), Ruth Duggan (Lolly Adefope), and Sam Chatwin (Simon Farnby).

The series is written by Steve Coogan, Neil Gibbons and Rob Gibbons.

This Time with Alan Partridge‘ Season 2 premieres Friday, 30 April 2021 at 9.30pm on BBC One.
