‘The Witcher’, ‘Cobra Kai’ & ‘YOU’ All Set To Return For New Seasons In Q4 2021 On Netflix

Netflix has given a little update as to when three of it’s most popular shows are set to return for new seasons on the streaming service, with The Witcher Season 2, Cobra Kai Season 4 & YOU Season 3 all landing in the “4th Quarter” of 2021 (i.e. some point in Oct to Dec).

The Witcher’ Season 1 followed Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), a solitary monster hunter, struggling to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtled him toward the powerful sorceress Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan), a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

As we head into Season 2, convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.

‘Cobra Kai’ takes place 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, where a now-successful Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) struggles to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of Mr. Miyagi and must face his previous adversary, down-and-out Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), who seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo.

The recent 3rd Season saw everyone reeling in the aftermath of the violent high school brawl between their dojos, which had left Miguel (Xolo Mariduena) in a precarious condition. While Daniel searched for answers in his past and Johnny seeked redemption, Kreese (Martin Kove) further manipulated his vulnerable students with his own vision of dominance. The soul of the Valley was at stake, and the fate of every student and sensei hung in the balance.

‘YOU’ Season 1 saw brilliant bookstore manager Joe (Penn Badgley – ‘Gossip Girl’) cross paths with “Beck” (Elizabeth Lail – ‘Once Upon a Time’) an aspiring writer. Using the internet and social media as his tools to gather the most intimate of details and get close to her, a charming and awkward crush quickly becomes an obsession as he quietly and strategically removes every obstacle – and person – in his way…

The 2nd Season, saw Joe in the city of Los Angeles, with a new identity, “Will”, and looking for love again, which is handy as he meets her… quite literally! The object of “Will’s” interest is Love Quinn, played by Victoria Pedretti (‘Haunting Of Hill House’). Love is an aspiring chef working as a produce manager in a high-end grocery store and is uninterested in the world of social media, branding and self-promotion, focused instead on leading an interesting life. She is also tending to a deep grief – and when she meets “Will”, she senses a shared knowledge of profound, life-changing loss.

The Witcher‘ Season 2, ‘Cobra Kai‘ Season 4 & ‘YOU‘ Season 3 are all set to land at some point between October and December 2021 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
