On this week’s Geektown Radio podcast, Matt from Entertainment Talk joins me to chat through our week in tv, film & gaming, along with all the weekly tv news, renewals and cancellations!
We begin by reviewing the last 7 days in tv, film and gaming, and Matt has been working his way through Apple TV+, bringing reviews of ‘Defending Jacob’, ‘Mythic Quest’, and ‘The Mosquito Coast’. We also both discuss Elliot Page’s interview with Oprah, which is available on the streaming service. Meanwhile, I talk about THAT finale from ‘Line Of Duty’, finishing off Netflix series ‘Shadow & Bone’, and the finale of Amazon series ‘Invincible’.
In the TV news, we have all the usual renewals, cancellations and pickups. As we’re heading in the US tv renewal season, we run through the current status of all the shows on the main 5 US networks, and tell you which shows you should be worried about getting the chop. We also discuss casting on the HBO Max ‘Green Lantern’ series, casting on Sky Original ‘The Midwich Cuckoos’, and the possible return of ‘The Flintstones’!
