‘The Walking Dead: World Beyond’: Get A Sneak Peek At Season 2, Coming This October

The Walking Dead: World Beyond had a panel today at [email protected], and it came with a little “sneak peek” at what’s to come, along with revealing the 2nd and final season will premiere this October on AMC in the USA (and not confirmed, but presumably in October on Amazon Prime in the UK).

Season 2 of zombie drama concludes the epic story of Iris (Aliyah Royale), Hope (Alexa Mansour), Elton (Nicolas Cantu), and Silas (Hal Cumpston) – four friends who journeyed across the country on a mission that transformed everything they knew about themselves and the world. As they face off against the mysterious Civic Republic Military and fight for control of their own destiny, goals will shift, bonds will form and crumble, and innocence will be both lost and found

The panel (which you can watch below), moderated by Chris Hardwick (‘Talking Dead’), features chief content officer of The Walking Dead Universe, Scott M. Gimple, showrunner and executive producer Matt Negrete, along with cast members Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Nico Tortorella, Annet Mahendru, Julia Ormond, Jelani Alladin and Joe Holt.

The panel also opens with an exclusive first look at the upcoming second season. The drama was always set as a two-season limited series, so this will also be the final season, although I rather suspect we may see some of these characters pop up in some of the other shows in the Walking Dead interconnected universe.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond‘ will premiere Sunday, October 3, 2021, on AMC in the USA. Amazon Prime Video airs the series in the UK, and if it follows the release format of the first season the UK premiere should be Monday, 4th October 2021, but that hasn’t yet been confirmed.

In addition to announcing the ‘World Beyond’ air date, they also revealed Fear The Walking Dead‘ Season 7 would be returning to AMC in the USA on Sunday, October 17, 2021. That presumably means it will land on AMC UK on Monday, 18th October 2021 (not yet confirmed, but it’s always aired next day for previous seasons). It will also be available to buy on Amazon Video, or if you’re prepared to wait around 12 months, it will appear eventually on Amazon Prime Video as part of the subscription.
