Disney+ has released the official trailer for Marvel’s Hawkeye, which sees Jeremy Renner return to the MCU as Clint Barton this November on the streaming service, and will have a festive theme!

Disney+ and Marvel Studios invite you on an unexpected holiday getaway, unwrapping the official trailer and teaser poster for ‘Hawkeye’, a new series set in post-blip New York City. Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.

The series stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye and introduces Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. Other cast involved include newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo, as deaf Native American who can perfectly copy another person’s movements; Zahn McClarnon (‘Longmire’, ‘Fargo’) as Maya’s father, William; Vera Farmiga (‘Bates Motel’, ‘When They See Us’) as Eleanor, Kate’s mother; Fra Fee (‘Les Misérables’) as Kazi (rumoured to be Marvel villain Clown); Tony Dalton, believed to be playing Jacques “Jack” Duquesne/Swordsman; And Brian d’Arcy James (’13 Reasons Why’, ‘Spotlight’) portrayed a yet-to-be-confirmed character.

If you’ve seen the film ‘Black Widow’, (*SPOILERS*) you also know that Florence Pugh is likely to appear in her role as Yelena Belova. Not to give too much away, but she has been led to believe Barton is responsible for the death of her sister Natasha Romanoff, and is out for revenge.

If you’re wondering about the next Disney+/MCU projects after this, Ms. Marvel’ is set to land in late 2021/early 2022, followed by ‘She-Hulk’ later in 2022. After that (in no particular order) we have Secret Invasion, Ironheart, ‘Armor Wars’, and a currently untitled series set in Wakanda.

Helmed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie, ‘Hawkeye‘ premieres from Wednesday, 24th November 2021 on Disney+ worldwide.
