Geektown Radio 324: ‘The Witcher’, ‘Free Guy’ Reviews, Plus TV News & UK Air Dates!
We are back with our last regular Geektown Radio podcast of 2021, and to celebrate we have the return of a long-lost co-host, Twitch Streamer extraordinaire, Bex from TristaBytes, who joins me to chat through the last few weeks (or months in Bex’s case!) on UK TV, along with the usual news and UK TV air dates!
We begin by reviewing the last few weeks in tv, film and gaming as I have been away. Bex chats about falling off things, both in real life and on classic ‘Tomb Raider’, which she has been playing on her stream. We also talk about the return of ‘The Expanse’, the film ‘Free Guy’ starring the ever watchable Ryan Reynolds, and discuss the mistreatment of ‘Hawkeye’ in the MCU, and how the new series is helping resolve that. Meanwhile, I chat through ‘Superman & Lois’, and the ‘The Flash: Armageddon’, which I managed to catch whilst on my travels (spoiler-free). I also give my thoughts on ‘The Witcher’ Season 2, and Season of the BBC comedy ‘Ghosts’.
Over in the TV news, we run through the renewals, along with some cancellations and pickups. We also chat about The CW developing another Batman-adjacent series, run through some of the new geekier dramas coming to Sky in 2022, and discuss the new animated spin-off from ‘The Boys’.
