Netflix has announced a March premiere date, along with releasing a teaser trailer for ‘Human Resources‘, a new animated spin-off from the creators of ‘Big Mouth’.
From the inventive minds that brought us the award-winning adult animation favourite ‘Big Mouth’ comes the even edgier and adult-ier ‘Human Resources’. The spin-off pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of the creatures – Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards and many more – that help humans journey through every aspect of life from puberty to parenthood to the twilight years. It quickly becomes clear that though the protagonists are creatures, they have a lot of humanity themselves.
The series features a number of familiar characters from ‘Big Mouth’, including Maury the Hormone Monster (voiced by Nick Kroll), Connie the Hormone Monstress (voiced by Maya Rudolph), Emmy the Lovebug (voiced by Aidy Bryant), Pete the Logic Rock (voiced by Randall Park), Rochelle the Lovebug (voiced by Keke Palmer), Walter the Lovebug (voiced by Brandon Kyle Goodman), The Shame Wizard (voiced by David Thewlis) and Sonya the Lovebug (voiced by Pamela Adlon).
Joining them will be Mona the Hormone Monstress (voiced by Thandiwe Newton), Simon Sex (voiced by Jemaine Clement), Tito the Anxiety Mosquito (voiced by Maria Bamford) and Gavin the Hormone Monster (voiced by Bobby Cannavale), along with Petra the Ambition Gremlin (voiced by Rosie Perez) and Keith From Grief (voiced by Henry Winkler).
The series is co-created and executive produced by Kelly Galuska, Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Jennifer Flackett and Mark Levin. Back in 2019, Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett signed an overall deal with Netflix under their animation production company, Brutus Pink. In addition to ‘Big Mouth’ and ‘Human Resources’, Brutus Pink are creating a variety of animated projects in both film and television that are adult, funny and emotional.
‘Human Resources‘ Season 1 premieres Friday, 18th March 2022 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
