‘The Equalizer’: Season 2 Gets February UK Premiere Date On Sky Witness
Queen Latifah returns to Sky Witness, as the broadcaster sets a February UK premiere date for Season 2 of ‘The Equalizer‘.
Latifah stars as Robyn McCall, an enigmatic former CIA operative who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. McCall comes across to most as an average single mom who is quietly raising her teenage daughter. But to a trusted few, she is “The Equalizer” – an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who’s also dogged in her pursuit of personal redemption.
As we head into the second season, McCall is considering ending her work as The Equalizer. However, she is pulled back in when she takes on Detective Marcus Dante as a new client who needs her help to find an untraceable group of bank robbers.
Alongside Latifah, the series star Tory Kittles as Marcus Dante, an intelligent and shrewd NYPD detective on Robyn’s trail, but she helps him but finds common ground in getting justice; Liza Lapira as Melody “Mel” Bayani, a former Air Force sniper turned owner of a bar which acts as a secret base of operations for Robyn; Adam Goldberg as Harry Keshegian, Melody’s husband and a master hacker; Lorraine Toussaint as Viola “Aunt Vi” Marsette, Robyn’s very wise paternal aunt; And Laya DeLeon Hayes as Delilah, Robyn’s 15-year-old daughter. Chris Noth also reprises his role as William Bishop in a number of episodes this season, but was fired following allegations of assault made against him at the end of last year.
