The Geektown Radio podcast is back for a new show, and this week Darryl from Hollywood North News returns to chat through the last seven days on UK TV, film, and gaming, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates!
This week, Darryl has been delving into the world of horror, beginning with ‘Seance’ on streaming service Shudder, followed by Polish drama ‘Cracow Monsters’ on Netflix. He also chats a little about his experience with ‘Gran Turismo 7’ on the PS4, and discusses interviewing actress and director Agam Darshi about her new film ‘Doneyhead’, which is also on Netflix. Meanwhile, I have been watching movies this week, finally catching up with ‘Spider-man: No Way Home’, so give my (relatively) spoiler-free thoughts on that. Sticking with Disney, I also watched the wonderful Pixar film ‘Turning Red’, so review that, along with chatting about recent gaming release ‘Expeditions: Rome’.
Over in the TV news, we run through the renewals, along with some cancellations and pickups. We chat about the live-action ‘Resident Evil’ series coming to Netflix, and their new Catharine Tate prison comedy. We discuss Amazon’s acquisition of MGM, a possible U2 Biopic, alongside casting for ‘The Mandalorian’ and a controversial arrival in ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’…
