The Geektown Radio podcast is back for a new episode, and our Matt from Entertainment Talk returns this week to chat through the last seven days on UK TV, film, and gaming, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates!
Matt kicks things off with an extensive review of the much-praised ‘LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’, including what is different from previous LEGO Star Wars games, and whether you should go out and get this one. He also catches us up with his thoughts on Prime Video series ‘Upload’ now he has finished season one, and reviews the first episode of new Apple TV+ series ‘Roar’. Meanwhile, I review ‘Doctor Who: Legend of the Sea Devils’, the penultimate outing for Jodie Whittaker in the lead role, along with reviewing stand up special ‘Jerrod Carmichael: Rothaniel’, which has way more depth to it than you’d ever expect from a comedy special.
Over in the TV news, we take a little break from our usual rundown of weekly renewals and cancellations, as we go through a “Pre-TV Bloodbath” rundown of which shows are likely to be safe, and which are “on the bubble” of facing the cancellation axe. We also discuss Amazon renaming IMDb TV, HBO Max ordering another DC Comic series, casting for ‘The Witcher’, and the return of ‘Dick Turpin’ to TV screens via Apple TV+!
