E4 has picked up new comedy ‘Killing It‘ from the creative minds behind ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, starring Craig Robinson.
‘Killing It’ is a comedy about class, capitalism and one man’s quest to achieve the American dream… and also about hunting really big snakes. The series follows Craig Foster (Craig Robinson), a divorced, down-on-his-luck, single father and Miami bank security guard, who tries to apply for a loan to start a new business. It does not go well… However, an encounter with an Australian Uber driver changes his life forever and leads him to enter a state-sponsored snake-hunting contest to achieve his American dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Alongside Craig Robinson (‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, ‘The Office ‘, ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’), the series stars Claudia O’Doherty (‘Love’, ‘Trainwreck’) as Jillian, a down-on-her-luck Uber driver who introduces Craig to the bizarre world of snake hunting; Rell Battle (‘Black-ish’, ‘The Good Doctor’) as Isaiah, Craig’s younger brother, whose version of the American Dream is a lot less legal than Craig’s; Scott Macarthur (‘The Mick’, ‘Righteous Gemstones’) as Brock, a rival snake hunter and aspiring social media star; Stephanie Nogueras (‘The Good Fight’, ‘Switched at Birth’) as Camille, Craig’s ex-wife with whom he uneasily co-parents their pre-teen daughter, Vanessa; Wyatt Walter (‘Sons of Thunder’) as Corby, Brock’s teenage son and reluctant cameraman; And Jet Miller (‘Bethany’, ‘Young Dylan’) as Vanessa, Craig’s daughter who idolizes her father, but wants nothing to do with hunting snakes.
The series comes from Dan Goor, co-creator of ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, and Luke Del Tredici (EP on ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ & ’30 Rock’). Robinson, Mark Schulman, and Mo Marable also exec produce. The comedy is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
‘Killing It‘ Season 1 premieres Wednesday, 8th June 2022 at 10pm on E4 with a double bill. The series airs on Peacock in the USA.
