‘Warrior Nun’ Season 2 Gets Trailer, Premiering Winter 2022 On Netflix

After a bit of a wait, Netflix released a trailer for Season 2 of the comic-book-inspired series Warrior Nun, which returns this winter to the streaming service.

From ‘Ghost Wars’ and ‘Continuum’ creator Simon Barry, ‘Warrior Nun’ revolves around a 19-year-old woman who wakes up in a morgue with a new lease on life and a divine artefact embedded in her back. She discovers she is now part of an ancient order that has been tasked with fighting demons on Earth, and powerful forces representing both heaven and hell want to find and control her.

The series stars Portuguese actress Alba Baptista in the lead role as Ava. She is joined by Tristán Ulloa (‘Terminator: Dark Fate’) as Father Vincent, Kristina Tonteri-Young as Sister Beatrice, Lorena Andrea (‘No Man’s Land’) as Sister Lilith, Toya Turner as Shotgun Mary, and Thekla Reuten (‘Stan Lee’s Lucky Man’) as Jillian Salvius.

Additional season one cast included Sylvia De Fanti (‘Incantesimo’) as Mother Superion, Emilio Sakraya (‘4 Blocks’) as J.C., Olivia Delcán (‘Drug Squad: Costa del Sol’) as Sister Camila, Joaquim De Almeida (‘Queen of the South’) as Cardinal Duretti, May Simón Lifschitz (‘Christian IV’) as Chanel, Dimitri Abold as Randall, and Charlotte Vega (‘Velvet’) as Zori.

Barry serves as writer, showrunner and exec produces the 10-episode series. Amy Berg, who has worked on shows such as ‘Counterpart’‘Da Vinci’s Demons’ and ‘Person of Interest’ is the consulting producer.
