After a somewhat extended summer holiday break, the Geektown Radio podcast is back with a new episode, and I’m joined by Matt from Entertainment Talk in the co-host chair to chat through and review the last seven days on UK TV, film, and gaming, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates.
Matt begins by catching me up on some of the shows he’s been watching whilst I’ve been away. They include his thoughts on ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’, and also the latest season of ‘9-1-1’. Meanwhile, tv watching has taken a bit of a backseat whilst I was on holiday, however, I did finish off ‘Ms. Marvel’, and also caught up with ‘Better Call Saul’, so we discuss both those. In addition to that, I talk about experiencing the Avengers Campus at Disney’s California Adventure, along with returning to Galaxy’s Edge and building a lightsaber!
Over in the TV news, we chat through all the renewals, cancellations and pick-ups since we have been away (and their are quite a few!) We also discuss the new Julie Plec show ‘Vampire Academy’, casting for ‘Black Mirror’, the Marvel Panel from SDCC, the new series coming to ‘The Walking Dead’ franchise, and ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ getting a very interesting crossover!
