Today, Netflix held their “Tudum” event, revealing lots (and we mean LOTS!) of news, trailers, premiere dates and other bits and pieces for various upcoming shows. They include trailers and exclusive footage for ‘Shadow and Bone‘, ‘Wednesday‘, ‘Emily in Paris‘, ‘Manifest‘, ‘Bridgerton‘ (and the new spin-off!), ‘YOU‘, ‘The Umbrella Academy‘, and so, SO, much more! Here is a round-up of all the things announced during the stream!

Enola Holmes 2 – 4th November 2022 (Film)

Adventure strikes again! Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, and Helena Bonham Carter return in Enola Holmes 2 — where a mystery of historic proportions takes 2 Holmes to handle. Directed by Harry Bradbeer and also starring: Louis Partridge, Adeel Akhtar, David Thewlis, Susan Wokoma & Sharon Duncan-Brewster.

Heart of Stone – 2023 (Film)

Rachel Stone (Gal Gadot) is an intelligence operative, the only woman who stands between her powerful, global, peace-keeping organisation and the loss of its most valuable — and dangerous — asset. Jamie Dornan, and Alia Bhatt also star.

Bridgerton – TBC (Cast Portrait Challenge)

Taking a break from trailers, this fun little clip sees two of the beloved cast taking on a painting challenge. However, Nicola Coughlan does also give a sneak peek into Lady Whistledown’s first column of Season 3!

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story – TBC (Series)

Whilst there was no new footage for ‘Bridgerton‘, we did get a little clip of the new spin-off series ‘Queen Charlotte‘, which tells the origin story of the popular character. Charlotte, meet George. The first encounter of a romance which sparked Bridgerton society as we know it.

Shadow and Bone, Season 2 – TBC (Series)

Netflix welcomes us back to the Grishaverse, with a “sneak peek” at Season 2 of ‘Shadow and Bone‘.

Wednesday – 23 November 2022 (Series)

Manifest, Season 4, Part 1 – 4 November 2022 (Series)

As ‘Manifest‘ begins it’s final decent this November, we now have a trailer! As we head into Season 4, a devastated Ben continues to mourn his wife and search for his kidnapped daughter Eden. Consumed by his grief, Ben has stepped down from his role as co-captain of the lifeboat, leaving Michaela to captain it alone – a near impossible feat with the passengers’ every move now being monitored by a government registry.

Slumberland – 24th November 2022 (Film)

‘Slumberland’ takes audiences to a magical new place, a dreamworld where precocious Nemo (Marlow Barkley) and her eccentric companion Flip (Jason Momoa) embark on the adventure of a lifetime. After her father Peter (Kyle Chandler) is unexpectedly lost at sea, young Nemo’s idyllic Pacific Northwest existence is completely upended when she is sent to live in the city with her well-meaning but deeply awkward uncle Phillip (Chris O’Dowd). Her new school and new routine are challenging by day but at night, a secret map to the fantastical world of Slumberland connects Nemo to Flip, a rough-around-the-edges but lovable outlaw who quickly becomes her partner and guide. Never Have I Ever, Season 4 – 2023 (Series)

Your favourite chaotic teen and the gang will be back for the fourth and final season. Indian American teenager Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) continues to deal with the everyday pressures of high school and drama at home, while also navigating new romantic relationships.

The Umbrella Academy – Season 3 Blooper Reel

Taking another break from trailers, ‘The Umbrella Academy‘ only recently aired its third season, so it’s a bit early for any new footage… However, the cast did pop up to show that they aren’t always entirely perfect in their performances whilst filming in this hilarious blooper reel.

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio – December 2022 (Film)

Academy Award-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro reinvents Carlo Collodi’s classic tale of the wooden marionette who is magically brought to life in order to mend the heart of a grieving woodcarver named Geppetto. This whimsical, stop-motion film directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson follows the mischievous and disobedient adventures of Pinocchio in his pursuit of a place in the world. YOU, Season 4, Part 1 – 10 February 2023 (Series)

Dean (Bobby Cannavale) and Nora Brannock (Naomi Watts) just purchased their dream home in the idyllic suburb of Westfield, New Jersey, but after putting all of their savings into closing the deal they soon realize the neighbourhood is less than welcoming. There’s a kooky older woman named Pearl (Mia Farrow) and her brother Jasper (Terry Kinney), who sneaks into the Brannock’s house and hides in their dumbwaiter. There’s Karen (Jennifer Coolidge), the realtor and an old acquaintance of Nora’s, who makes them feel like they don’t really belong, and nosy neighbours Mitch (Richard Kind) and Mo (Margo Martindale), who don’t seem to understand property lines. Their icy welcome quickly turns into a full-blown living hell when ominous letters from someone calling themself “The Watcher” start arriving, terrorizing the Brannocks to their breaking point as the neighbourhood’s sinister secrets come spilling out. From Ryan Murphy & Ian Brennan the series is based on the true story of the infamous “Watcher” house in New Jersey.

Vikings: Valhalla, Season 2 – 2023 (Series)

The legendary Viking heroes – Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter) – make a desperate last stand against Olaf and his warriors in this exclusive First Look Clip from Season 2 of ‘Vikings: Valhalla‘.

The Mother – May 2023 (Film)

A deadly female assassin comes out of hiding to protect the daughter that she gave up years before, while on the run from dangerous men. The movie stars Jennifer Lopez, Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci, and Gael Garcia Bernal.

1899 – 17th November 2022 (Series)

From the creators of ‘Dark’, the eight episodes follow the mysterious circumstances around the voyage of an immigrant ship from Europe to New York. The passengers, all of different backgrounds and nationalities, are united by their hopes and dreams for a new century and their future abroad. When they discover a second ship adrift on the open sea that had gone missing for months, their journey takes an unexpected turn. They Cloned Tyrone – TBC (Film)

A series of eerie events thrusts an unlikely trio (John Boyega, Teyonah Parris and Jamie Foxx) onto the trail of a nefarious government experiment in this pulpy mystery caper.

Lupin, Season 3 – TBC (Series)

Now in hiding, Assane must learn to live far from his wife and son. With the suffering they endure because of him, Assane can’t stand it any longer and decides to return to Paris to make them a crazy proposal: leave France and start a new life elsewhere. But the ghosts of the past are never far away, and an unexpected return will turn his plans upside down.

Dead to Me, Season 3 – 17th November 2022 (Final Season)

Season three concludes the story of the powerful friendship that blossoms between a tightly wound widow and a free spirit with a shocking secret. Sitcom veteran Christina Applegate plays Jen, a poised and put-together woman with a dark sense of humour and an anger problem that she doesn’t necessarily want to deal with. Jen has been struggling to keep it together in the months since her husband was killed in a hit and run. Former ‘ER’ star (and wife of Avenger’s Hawkeye) Linda Cardellini plays Judy, the aforementioned free-spirited friend, whilst James Marsden (‘Westworld’) played Steve, Judy’s ex-fiancé.

Outer Banks, Season 3 – 2023 (Series)

The Pogues are back in town for a third season, coming in 2023. ‘Outer Banks’ is a coming-of-age story that follows a tight-knit group of local teens (the “Pogues”) in the beach vacation destination of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Season 1 saw a hurricane kill the power for the summer season, but that event set off a chain of illicit activities that force the friends to make life-altering decisions. The search for their ringleader’s missing father, forbidden romances, a high-stakes treasure hunt, and the escalating conflict between the Pogues and their rivals turned their summer into one filled with mystery and adventure they’ll never forget.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery – 17th November 2023 (Film)

Benoit Blanc returns to peel back the layers in a new Rian Johnson whodunit. This fresh adventure finds the intrepid detective at a lavish private estate on a Greek island, but how and why he comes to be there is only the first of many puzzles. Blanc soon meets a distinctly disparate group of friends gathering at the invitation of billionaire Miles Bron for their yearly reunion. Among those on the guest list are Miles’ former business partner Andi Brand, current Connecticut governor Claire Debella, cutting-edge scientist Lionel Toussaint, fashion designer and former model Birdie Jay and her conscientious assistant Peg, and influencer Duke Cody and his sidekick girlfriend Whiskey. As in all the best murder mysteries, each character harbours their own secrets, lies and motivations. When someone turns up dead, everyone is a suspect. Returning to the franchise he began, Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Rian Johnson writes and directs Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and assembles another all-star cast that includes a returning Daniel Craig alongside Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline with Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.

The School for Good and Evil – 19th October 2022 (Film)

In the village of Gavaldon, two misfits and best friends, Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie), share the unlikeliest of bonds. Sophie, a golden-haired seamstress, dreams of escaping her dreary life to become a princess, while Agatha, with her grim aesthetic and offbeat mother, has the makings of a real witch. One night under a blood-red moon, a powerful force sweeps them away to the School for Good and Evil — where the true stories behind every great fairy tale begin. The Recruit – 16th December 2022 (Series)

Noah Centineo announces the title of his upcoming Netflix series, ‘The Recruit‘, and its December 16 premiere date and first image. In ‘The Recruit’, Noah stars as a fledgling lawyer at the CIA who becomes enmeshed in dangerous international power politics when a former asset threatens to expose the agency.

The Witcher: Blood Origin – 25th December 2022 | The Witcher, Season 3 – Summer 2023

If you’re looking for something to watch while digesting your turkey this Christmas, you could head off to the world of ‘The Witcher’ with the spin-off ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin‘, premiering Christmas day!

Every story has a beginning. Witness the untold history of the Continent with ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’, a new prequel series set in an elven world 1200 years before the events of ‘The Witcher’. Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time – exploring the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal “Conjunction of the Spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.

Netflix also revealed that ‘The Witcher‘ Season 3 will land in Summer 2023.

The Crown, Season 5 – 9th November 2022

For those of you who need more royalty in your lives, turn to Netflix on 9th November 2022. ‘The Crown’ tells the inside story of two of the most famous addresses in the world – Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street – and the intrigues, love lives and machinations behind the great events that shaped the second half of the 20th century. As happens every two seasons on ‘The Crown’, we will be getting an all-new cast for the 5th and final 6th Seasons. Imelda Staunton (the ‘Harry Potter’ films) takes the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Olivia Colman, with Jonathan Pryce (‘Game of Thrones’) as Prince Philip. Lesley Manville (‘Save Me Too’, ‘Harlots’) is set to play Princess Margaret, with Elizabeth Debicki (‘The Night Manager’, ‘Tenet’) as Princess Diana. Whilst not yet confirmed by Netflix, the rumours are that Dominic West (‘The Affair’, ‘Brassic’) will take on the role of Prince Charles. On the government side, Jonny Lee Miller (‘Elementary’, ‘Trainspotting’) has signed up as Prime Minister John Major.
