‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 19 Gets October UK Premiere Date On Disney+
‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ returns for its 19th Season this October on its new UK home of Disney+ the streaming service has announced.
‘Grey’s Anatomy‘, the USA’s longest-running primetime medical drama, follows the staff of Grey Sloan as they encounter more hurdles in their professional and personal lives. In the upcoming season, the record-breaking Shondaland franchise will explore the ever-expanding world of modern medicine through the eyes of beloved returning and new characters.
Season 19 see Ellen Pompeo return as Meredith Grey, however, she is taking a reduced role this year and will only appear in eight episodes. The series will also see five new faces in the cast, as Harry Shum Jr., Adelaide Kane, Alexis Floyd, Niko Terho, and Midori Francis join the drama as new interns.
The series also stars Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens Jr. as Richard Webber, Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt, Kim Raver as Teddy Altman, Camilla Luddington as Jo Wilson, Caterina Scorsone as Amelia Shepherd, Kelly McCreary as Maggie Pierce, Chris Carmack as Atticus “Link” Lincoln, Jake Borelli as Levi Schmitt, Richard Flood as Cormac Hayes and Anthony Hill as Winston Ndugu.
What Disney+ UK hasn’t yet given a date for is its sister show ‘Station 19‘, which is due back for its 6th Season soon. However, it was announced last month that they had taken back the premiere rights to the drama from previous holders Sky Witness, along with reclaiming the rights to the other firefighter drama, ‘9-1-1‘. We’re expecting dates to land for those in due course.
‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ Season 19 premieres Wednesday, 26th October 2022 on Disney+.
