‘The Good Doctor’ Season 6 Gets November UK Premiere Date On Sky Witness
‘The Good Doctor‘ is back for its 6th Season on Sky Witness this November the broadcaster has announced.
‘The Good Doctor’ follows Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), a surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, who continues to use his extraordinary medical gifts at St. Bonaventure Hospital’s surgical unit. Following their long-awaited wedding festivities and his promotion to surgical attending, Shaun and Lea’s relationship is immediately put to the test and they must learn to navigate life together as a married couple. Meanwhile, the team is dealing with changes at the hospital and in their personal lives that will present new emotional and interpersonal challenges for them.
As we head into season six, Shaun and Lea’s wedding reception is interrupted by a violent attack at the hospital; the trauma of seeing people he cares for in life-threatening situations affects Shaun in more ways than one.
The series stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman, Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim, Fiona Gubelmann as Dr. Morgan Reznick, Will Yun Lee as Dr. Alex Park, Paige Spara as Lea Dilallo, Noah Galvin as Dr. Asher Wolke and Bria Samone Henderson as Dr. Jordan Allen.
This new season is also set to see a “backdoor pilot” for a possible spin-off series titled ‘The Good Lawyer’. The potential drama comes from David Shore and Liz Friedman, EPs on the main series, and will centre on Joni, a 20-something woman who battles OCD but is a brilliant lawyer. The pilot episode will be slotted into the season six run of ‘The Good Doctor’, and will see Joni as the defence attorney for Shaun who finds himself in legal trouble.
