UK fans of ‘CSI: Vegas‘ will not have to wait too long for Season 2, as Alibi announce the procedural drama will return to our shores this December.
Amidst the neon lights and long shadows, dark threats continue to lurk in Sin City. Paula Newsome returns as Maxine Roby to lead her brilliant Crime Scene investigators team as they use science to solve baffling cases. This combined force will deploy the latest forensic techniques to do what they do best – follow the evidence – in order to preserve and serve justice in Las Vegas.
Alongside Roby, season two also brings back Matt Lauria as Level III CSI Josh Folsom, and Mandeep Dhillon as his regular partner, Level II CSI Allie Rajan. Jay Lee, who as recurred as Level I CSI Chris Park last season, has also been upped to series regular this year.
Joining them for the new season are Lex Medlin (‘Drop Dead Diva’) as Beau Finado, a Level I CSI… albeit the most overqualified CSI Level I of all time! Having spent the last two decades as one of Dow Chemical’s top research scientists, post-pandemic, Beau wanted to shift into more meaningful work than developing new adhesives. Taking a massive pay cut, he followed his heart, and graduated at the top of his class at the CSI Academy. Also joining the team is Ariana Guerra (‘Raising Dion’, ‘Helstrom’) as homicide detective Serena Chavez. A hard-boiled, tiny but mighty, tough-skinned cynic, Serena is not content to let science lead the way without some saucy commentary and tough questions.
This season won’t see original stars Jorja Fox and William Petersen return as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle, however, there is one OG familiar face coming back, as Marg Helgenberger reprises her role as Catherine Willows. In the opening episode, Willows persuades Maxine to let her rejoin the team. Meanwhile, a dominatrix is found murdered near her secret sex dungeon…
‘CSI: Vegas’ is produced by CBS Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and distributed internationally by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group. Jason Tracey, Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Anthony Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn, Ann Donahue, Craig O’Neill, William Petersen and Cindy Chvatal exec produce.
‘CSI: Vegas‘ Season 2 will premiere in December 2022 on UKTV’s Alibi (exact date/time to be confirmed). If you want to keep track of this or any other show, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
