‘Foundation’: Apple TV+ Isaac Asimov Adaptation Gets Season 2 Trailer, Coming Summer 2023

by Dave Elliott

Apple TV+ has released a “sneak peek” trailer for Season 2 of their brilliant Isaac Asimov adaptation Foundation, which is due to premiere in Summer 2023.

Based on the award-winning Asimov novels, the drama chronicles a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire.

Season one began as revolutionary Dr. Hari Seldon (Jared Harris) predicts the impending fall of the Empire. He and a band of loyal followers venture to the far reaches of the galaxy to establish The Foundation in an attempt to rebuild and preserve the future of civilization. Enraged by Hari’s claims, the ruling Cleons – a long line of emperor clones – fear their unrivalled reign may be weakening as they’re forced to reckon with the potential reality of losing their powerful legacy forever.

The series stars SAG Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Jared Harris as Dr. Hari Seldon; Emmy Award nominee Lee Pace as Brother Day; Lou Llobell as Gaal Dornick; Leah Harvey as Salvor Hardin; Laura Birn as Demerzel; Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk; Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn; and Alfred Enoch as Raych.

Led by showrunner and executive producer David S. Goyer, ‘Foundation’ is produced for Apple by Skydance Television with Robyn Asimov, Josh Friedman, Cameron Welsh, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross also serving as executive producers.

Foundation‘ Season 1 is available on Apple TV+ in the UK and worldwide. Season 2 is due to premiere in Summer 2023. If you want to keep track of this or any other show, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
