‘YOU’: Season 4 Part 1 Gets Trailer, Premiering February 2023 On Netflix

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has released the trailer for YOU, which returns for part one of Season 4 this February.

Based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name, “What would you do for love?” Joe Goldberg is a man who will do just about anything when love is at stake.

The show began following brilliant bookstore manager Joe (Penn Badgley – ‘Gossip Girl’) who crossed paths with “Beck” (Elizabeth Lail – ‘Once Upon a Time’) an aspiring writer. Using the internet and social media as his tools to gather the most intimate of details and get close to her, a charming and awkward crush quickly became an obsession as he quietly and strategically removed every obstacle – and person – in his way… The following seasons saw him move to LA and a new love interest, Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti – ‘Haunting Of Hill House’), who he eventually starts a family with in the Northern California enclave of Madre Linda… However, things do not go well…

In season four, after his previous life went up in flames, Joe Goldberg has fled to Europe to escape his “messy” past, adopt a new identity, and, of course, to pursue true love. But Joe soon finds himself in the strange new role of reluctant detective as he discovers he may not be the only killer in London. Now, his future depends on identifying and stopping whoever’s targeting his new friend group of uber-wealthy socialites…

‘YOU’ comes from Greg Berlanti (DC/CW shows, ‘Riverdale’) and Sera Gamble (‘The Magicians’, ‘Aquarius’, ‘Supernatural’) who serve as writers and exec producers, with Gamble as showrunner. The series is produced by Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television.

YOU‘ Season 4 is split in two, with part one premiering Thursday, 9th February 2023 on Netflix UK and worldwide. Part two follows Thursday, 9th March 2023.
