Apple TV+ has released a trailer and set a March premiere date for ‘The Big Door Prize‘, a brand new series from Emmy Award winner David West Read (“Schitt’s Creek”), with a cast led by Chris O’Dowd.
Based on M.O. Walsh’s novel of the same name, ‘The Big Door Prize’ tells the story of a small town that is forever changed when a mysterious machine appears in the general store, promising to reveal each resident’s true life potential. The series is produced by Skydance Television and CJ ENM/Studio Dragon.
Chris O’Dowd (‘The IT Crowd’, ‘State of the Union’) leads an ensemble cast which includes Gabrielle Dennis (‘Luke Cage’, ‘A Black Lady Sketch Show’), Ally Maki (‘Wrecked’, ‘Toy Story 4’), Josh Segarra (‘Arrow’, ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’), Damon Gupton (‘Black Lightning’, ‘La La Land’), Crystal Fox (‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Utopia’), Sammy Fourlas and Djouliet Amara (‘Devil in Ohio’, ‘Superman and Lois’).
The ten-episode dramedy is created by the Emmy Award-winning writer and producer David West Read (“Schitt’s Creek”), who serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Miky Lee & Hyun Park of CJ ENM/Studio Dragon, David Ellison & Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost of Skydance Television. The series is produced by Skydance Television and CJ ENM/Studio Dragon.
‘The Big Door Prize‘ premieres Wednesday, 29th March 2023 on Apple TV+ worldwide.
