‘Miss Scarlet and The Duke’ Season 3 Gets April UK Premiere Date On Alibi
Alibi has set an April UK premiere date for ‘Miss Scarlet and The Duke‘ Season 3 the UKTV broadcaster has announced.
‘Miss Scarlet and the Duke’ follows Kate Phillips (‘Peaky Blinders’, ‘The Crown’) as the fearless female detective Eliza Scarlet, and Stuart Martin (‘Army of Thieves’, ‘Jamestown’) as her childhood friend and will-they-won’t-they love interest, Inspector William “The Duke” Wellington.
As we return for season three, Eliza finds herself in fresh and surprising mysteries, ranging from a disappearing magician to police corruption, as she struggles to build her detective agency. Growing competition from a rival agency creates new problems, and all the while she is still juggling her relationship with Inspector William Wellington, the Duke. But she has a new challenge on that front: a beautiful woman from her childhood has caught the Duke’s eye.
In the opening episode, titled “The Vanishing”, a famous magician does the ultimate disappearing act and vanishes into thin air. All of London is talking about the mystery and Eliza is hired by a newspaper to investigate, despite the fact that Duke is already on the case.
Alongside Philips and Martin season three also stars Ansu Kabia as Moses Valentine, Cathy Belton as Ivy Woods, Ian Pirie as Monro, Evan McCabe as Oliver Fitzroy, Tim Chipping as Phelps, Felix Scott as Patrick Nash, Brian Bovell as Solomon, and Sophie Robertson as Arabella Acaster.
The drama is created and written by Rachael New (‘Grantchester’, ‘The Mallorca Files’), with Ben Edwards (‘Trollied’, ‘Stella’) as a contributing writer. The series is produced by Masterpiece and Element 8 Entertainment. The series has been renewed for Season 4.
