Geektown Radio 387: Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, The Idol, Gundam: Witch From Mercury Reviews, Starfield, TV News & UK Air Dates!

In the episode of the Geektown Radio podcast I’m joined by Darryl from Hollywood North News, to discuss all the latest UK TV, TV news and UK TV air dates, plus lots (and lots) of upcoming game releases announced this week!

Darryl kicks things off with his usual eclectic mix of tv content from various streaming services. This time he’s been diving into the anime streaming service Crunchyroll, and brings us a review of ‘Gundam: The Witch From Mercury‘, along with a review of Departure Season 2, which is on Sky & NOW, the Hulu YA film ‘Crush’ from Disney+ UK, and a game review of the recently released Street Fighter 6. Meanwhile, I review the opening episode of new HBO drama The Idol, which is on Sky in the UK, and a preview of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds‘ Season 2, which lands on Paramount+ later this week!

In the news section, we run through all the renewals, cancellations and pick-ups, which includes the BBC, Channel 4, and NBC all having their axes out this week! We also run through just some of the huge amount of video games announced so far this week, including ‘Star Wars: Outlaw’, and that crazy deep dive into the upcoming Bethesda title, ‘Starfield’. We also talk casting for James Gunn’s ‘Superman: Legacy‘, and a companion returning to ‘Doctor Who’. For all this and more, listen below!
