Apple TV+ has released the full trailer for Season 3 of the Emmy Award-winning, hit series The Morning Show, starring and executive produced by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon which premieres this September on the streaming service (and also comes with added Jon Hamm and Stephen Fry!)

‘The Morning Show‘ is an unapologetically candid drama that looks at the modern workplace through the lens of the people who help wake America up. The drama pulls back the curtain on early morning TV. As we head into season three, the future of the network is thrown into question and loyalties are pushed to the brink when a tech titan takes an interest in UBA. Unexpected alliances form, private truths are weaponized, and everyone is forced to confront their core values both in and out of the newsroom.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon return, alongside the star-studded season three ensemble cast which includes Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, and Julianna Margulies.

New cast includes Jon Hamm (‘Mad Men’) who joins as “Paul Marks”, a corporate titan who sets his sights on UBA, pulling Cory (Crudup), Alex and Bradley into his powerful orbit; Tig Notaro (‘Star Trek: Discovery’) is set to play “Amanda Robinson”, the chief of staff to the aforementioned corporate titan; Nicole Beharie (‘Sleepy Hollow’) will star as “Christina Hunter”, a grounded, competitive, and charismatic Millennial who is a new anchor on The Morning Show. Christina works hard, plays hard, and navigates the Teacup with good-humoured irreverence; And the legendary British icon Stephen Fry joins as “Leonard Cromwell”, a ruthless UBA board member working to steer the company through troubled financial waters.

Behind the cameras, season three of ‘The Morning Show’ sees Charlotte Stoudt (‘Fosse/Verdon’, ‘Homeland’, ‘House of Cards’), take over as showrunner and executive producer, replacing Kerry Ehrin. The series is executive produced by Michael Ellenberg through Media Res, along with Aniston and Kristin Hahn through Echo Films; Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter through Hello Sunshine. Mimi Leder serves as executive producer and director. The drama has already received an early renewal for season four.

If you’ve not yet caught ‘The Morning Show’, the first two seasons are up on Apple TV+ to binge now, and are well worth a watch. In its first season, the series landed an Emmy Award for Crudup’s performance as Cory Ellison, in addition to a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for Aniston’s powerful performance as Alex Levy. Director Mimi Leder has been honoured with an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for helming the season one finale. The debut season of the series also landed a Critics Choice Award, and received nominations from the Television Critics Association for Outstanding New Program and a TV Choice Award for Best New Drama.

The second season received Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, Reese Witherspoon; Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Billy Crudup, who also won the award for season one; and, Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, Marcia Gay Harden.

The Morning Show‘ Season 3 premieres Wednesday, 13th September 2023 on Apple TV+.
