It’s the beginning of the end for ‘Blue Bloods‘ as Sky Witness announces the 14th and final season will premiere this September in the UK.
The police procedural drama follows a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the New York Police Commissioner and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry (Len Cariou), during his stint as Chief.
The rest of the family consists of Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), a seasoned detective, family man and Iraq War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases with his partner, Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez); Erin (Bridget Moynahan), a New York Assistant D.A. who also serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father, as well as a single parent to her teenage daughter, Nicky (Sami Gayle); Jamie (Will Estes) who gave up a lucrative future in law and follow in the family footsteps as a cop; And Eddie (Vanessa Ray), his female partner who keeps him on his toes.
If you’re wondering why ‘Blue Bloods’ returned to the UK so late this year, the final season was split in two in the USA, only returning this October 2024 for the final six episodes. Whilst not confirmed, it would appear Sky are going to run the show straight through in the UK, with the finale of the 18-episode season coming in December on both sides of the Atlantic. So whilst we’re way behind on the first half of the season, the UK will be much closer to the US air date for the second half of the season.
‘Blue Bloods‘ is produced by CBS Studios. Kevin Wade, Ian Biederman, Brian Burns, Siobhan Byrne-O’Connor, Dan Truly and Selleck exec produce.
‘Blue Bloods‘ Season 14 premieres Wednesday, 4th September 2024 at 9pm on Sky Witness (there is also an earlier airing at 2am the same day, if you want to set your Sky box to record it so you can watch first thing!)

The second part of season 14 has eight episodes, not six. So it might go longer than December in the UK.
