Prime Video has released a hilarious (and very meta) trailer for ‘Invincible‘ Season 3, along with a February 2025 premiere date for the return of our favourite animated teen superhero.
Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, is an adult animated superhero series that follows 17-year-old Mark Grayson, as he inherits his father’s superpowers and sets out to become Earth’s greatest defender, only to discover the job is more challenging than he could have ever imagined.
As we head into Season 3, everything changes as Mark is forced to face his past, and his future, while discovering how much further he’ll need to go to protect the people he loves.
The trailer takes the form of a conversation between Mark (Steven Yeun) and Cecil (Walton Goggins), as the director of the GDA wants to know what Mark has been doing with his time since he nearly got beaten to death last season by a Viltrumite last season (answer… not a lot…) It also includes an entertaining dig at the much-hated decision to split the third season in half, something which thankfully will not be happening with season four.
Steven Yeun leads the voice cast, alongside a smorgasbord of talent including Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Zachary Quinto, Chris Diamantopoulos, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ben Schwartz, Clancy Brown, Jay Pharoah, Mark Hamill, and Melise Jow.
The executive producers are Kirkman, Rogen, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, and Evan Goldberg. The co-executive producers are Helen Leigh and Cory Walker. It is co-produced by Skybound Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios.
‘Invincible‘ Season 3 premieres Thursday, 6th February 2025 (with no mid-season break!) on Prime Video UK and worldwide.
