Lastly in our main categories, we come to the Most Anticipated TV Series, Film & Game Of 2025. This covers all the new media you are most looking forward to in the next twelve months. On the gaming side, there are some big releases (although one that absolutely dominates…) In film, both DC and Marvel are back in full swing, but can they take any of the top awards? And in TV, there are some fantastic shows incoming, both brand new and extensions of existing franchises, but which did you pick?… Let’s find out!

Gold Winner: Game Of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms – Sky
It really shouldn’t come as a huge shock that the top three spots were taken by titles relating to three of the biggest screen franchises of all time. Nor, I suspect, is it a massive shock that ‘Game Of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms‘ ended up coming out on top.
A century before the events of “Game of Thrones,” two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.
As the show launches next year, it should land on Sky Atlantic in the UK, but we don’t yet have a date. If you want to keep track of ‘Game Of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms‘ or any of the shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when the next season gets a UK premiere date.
Most Anticipated Game Of 2025
Nominees: Civilization VII, Doom: The Dark Ages, Dune: Awakening, Fable, Grand Theft Auto VI, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Bronze: Civilization VII
Silver: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Gold Winner: Grand Theft Auto VI
This was the one category where it was blatantly obvious what was going to take gold from the moment we put the list together. Of course, it was Grand Theft Auto VI.
This latest iteration in the franchise heads to the state of Leonida (aka GTA’s “Florida”), home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet. Not a lot is known about the story yet, but it does seem to focus on a “Bonnie and Clyde” type duo as the leads which have been featured in the trailers.
Whilst we don’t yet have a release date, Rockstar has said the game will drop in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Most Anticipated Movie Of 2025
Nominees:28 Years Later, Avatar: Fire and Ash, Better Man, Captain America: Brave New World, Disney’s Snow White (Live Action), Elio (Pixar), How to Train Your Dragon (Live Action), Jurassic World Rebirth, Karate Kid: Legends, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Superman, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, The Running Man, Thunderbolts, TRON: Ares, Wicked, Part 2, Zootopia 2
Bronze: Wicked, Part 2
Silver: Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning
Gold Winner: 28 Years Later
Much like the TV category, the Most Anticipated Movie top three is filled with franchises. However, none of the superheroes managed to break past those pesky witches and Tom Cruise. The thing which took gold though (possibly helped by the trailer being released during the voting period) was ’28 Years Later’, the third film in the series which reunites Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle and Academy Award-nominated writer Alex Garland for a terrifying new story set in the world created by ’28 Days Later’.
It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.
The new movie stars Jodie Comer (Killing Eve, Help), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Avengers: Age of Ultron), Jack O’Connell (SAS: Rogue Heroes, Ferrari), Alfie Williams, and Ralph Fiennes (Schindler’s List, The English Patient).
’28 Years Later’ is due to land in cinemas from Friday, 20th June 2025 in the UK.
