‘Stranger Things‘ is back for one last outing. Netflix has officially confirmed the release schedule for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of the global phenomenon, and the end is set to begin this November.
The Beginning of the End
Set in the autumn of 1987, Season 5 picks up as Hawkins reels from the chaos unleashed at the end of Season 4. The Rifts have opened, Vecna has vanished, and the government has placed the town under full military quarantine. With Eleven forced back into hiding and the clock ticking toward the anniversary of Will’s original disappearance, the group finds themselves united by one final mission: find Vecna and end this nightmare once and for all.
But darkness looms larger than ever before, and as the Duffer Brothers tease, long-held secrets about the Upside Down — hinted at since the beginning — will finally come to light. “The last remaining questions that are answered in [our original mythology document], we’ve punted a couple of those to have some big reveals in Season 5,” said Ross Duffer, promising a season full of long-awaited answers.
The Full Party Returns
The cast of Stranger Things 5 includes Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley), Priah Ferguson (Erica Sinclair), Brett Gelman (Murray), Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna), Cara Buono (Karen Wheeler), Amybeth McNulty (Vickie), Nell Fisher (Holly Wheeler), Jake Connelly (Derek Turnbow), Alex Breaux (Lt. Akers), and Linda Hamilton (Dr. Kay).
With the fate of Hawkins (and possibly the world) on the line, the beloved “party” will need to come together for one last battle. Expect epic stakes, emotional goodbyes, and a showdown with Vecna that’s been building since Season 1.
‘Stranger Things‘ Season 5 will be released in three parts. Volume 1 (4 episodes) lands on Tuesday, 26th November 2025, whilst Volume 2 (3 episodes) airs on Thursday, 25th December 2025 (Christmas Day), followed by the finale episode on Wednesday, 31st December 2025 (New Year’s Eve). NOTE: Each drop will premiere globally at 5:00 p.m. PST, so UK viewers can expect episodes to land overnight or early the following morning.
