Get ready for another round of clever crimes, cheeky humour, and a whole lot of charm, as ‘My Life Is Murder‘ returns! Season 4 of the beloved Australian-New Zealand crime drama premieres in the UK later this month on U&Alibi, with all episodes available on catch-up via Sky, Virgin Media, and other platforms.
Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess) reprises her role as the fearless and unapologetic investigator Alexa Crowe in this sun-soaked series that blends murder mysteries with wit and warmth. This time, she’s facing eight fresh cases — and they’re stranger and deadlier than ever.
Eight Mysteries. Eight Worlds. Eight Killers.
Season 4 throws Alexa into a slew of new investigations involving everything from homicidal hairdressers and wicked widows to brutal ballet rivalries and even deadly soufflés. But whether she’s navigating high society or suspicious salons, Alexa remains as razor-sharp and unpredictable as ever.
Along for the ride is her loyal team of allies: tech whiz Madison (played by Ebony Vagulans – The Furies) is stepping up with her considerable skills, and she and Alexa have settled into a comfortable, if slightly chaotic, mentor-mentee bond, though neither will ever admit who’s mentoring whom. Reuben (played by Joe Naufahu – Game of Thrones) is back behind the counter and ready to lend a hand, while Alexa’s brother Will (played by Martin Henderson – Virgin River) is staying close. Detective Harry (played by Rawiri Jobe – Shortland Street) has her back, and cranky cat Chowder remains an unpredictable wildcard in every case.
Emboldened by personal changes and a desire to confront the past while embracing the future, Alexa is more determined than ever to uncover the most carefully hidden secrets, cracking each bewildering case with insight, intuition, and more than a little sass. And despite the danger, her chosen family (or whanau) still find plenty of time for fun along the way.
Guest Stars & Episode 1
The new season features some notable guest appearances, including Bill Bailey in Episode 6 and Rodger Corser (The Heart Guy) in Episodes 7 and 8.
Season 4 opens with “To Dye For”: a stylish and scandalous case involving a wealthy socialite who dies under suspicious circumstances and leaves her entire fortune… to her cat. Alexa steps into the world of high society gossip and feline inheritance as she seeks out the truth.
