‘The Gilded Age’ Season 3 Trailer Released As Sky Confirms June UK Premiere

by Dave Elliott

Sky has unveiled the official trailer for Season 3 of the Emmy-nominated period drama The Gilded Age, from creator Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey), with the new season set to premiere on Monday, 23rd June 2025, on Sky and streaming service NOW.

Set during a period of rapid economic transformation, The Gilded Age explores the glittering highs and bitter rivalries of New York’s upper classes in the late 19th century, a time when fortunes were made, alliances forged, and society was as cutthroat as any battlefield.

Following the dramatic conclusion of the “Opera War,” the old money elite is left weakened, and the ambitious Russell family stands poised to ascend to the pinnacle of high society. Carrie Coon (The Leftovers) returns as Bertha Russell, who has her sights set on a prestigious new goal that could redefine the family’s legacy. Meanwhile, Morgan Spector (Homeland) reprises his role as George Russell, gambling everything on a high-stakes move in the railroad industry that could either secure their future or destroy it.

Across the street, Christine Baranski (The Good Fight)’s Agnes struggles with the shifting dynamics of the Brook household, particularly Ada’s evolving role. Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City) is also back as Ada, navigating her newfound independence. Elsewhere, Denée Benton (Hamilton)’s Peggy finds romance with a Newport doctor, but must contend with his disapproving family and the challenges of her career.

As the social hierarchy teeters and New York’s elite rush headlong into the future, the season promises dramatic confrontations, rising ambitions, and personal sacrifices that threaten to upend everything these characters hold dear.

The sprawling ensemble cast includes Louisa Jacobson (Gone Hollywood), Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story), Harry Richardson (Poldark), Blake Ritson (Da Vinci’s Demons), Nathan Lane (Only Murders in the Building), Audra McDonald (The Good Fight), Merritt Wever (Unbelievable), Phylicia Rashad (This Is Us), and many more.

Season three is written and executive produced by Julian Fellowes, alongside Gareth Neame, David Crockett, Michael Engler, Bob Greenblatt, and Sonja Warfield. Directors include Michael Engler and Salli Richardson-Whitfield, who also serve as executive producers.

The Gilded Age‘ Season 3 premieres Monday, 23rd June 2025 on Sky and NOW in the UK.
