Apple TV+ has released the full trailer for the third season of ‘Invasion’, teasing a high-stakes battle for humanity’s survival as the story enters its most dangerous chapter yet. “The threat never left, it evolved,” warns the trailer, as the series’ characters prepare to take the fight directly to the alien invaders.
Created by Simon Kinberg (X-Men, Deadpool, The Martian) and David Weil (Hunters), ‘Invasion’ follows an alien invasion through multiple perspectives across the globe. In the upcoming ten-episode third season, those perspectives finally collide as the main characters come together for a critical mission to infiltrate the alien mothership. This time, humanity is facing the terrifying “apex aliens” — evolved, deadlier beings rapidly spreading their tendrils across the planet.
According to Apple TV+, “it will take all our heroes working together, using all their experience and expertise, to save our species.” Along the way, new relationships will form, and old bonds will be tested — and even shattered — as an international cast of characters must learn to act as one before it’s too late.
The returning cast includes Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Shane Zaza, and Enver Gjokaj, with Erika Alexander (Living Single, Wu-Tang: An American Saga) joining as a new series regular.
Behind the camera, Kinberg and Weil continue as executive producers alongside Audrey Chon, David Witz, Alik Sakharov, Dan Dietz, Katie O’Connell Marsh, and Nick Nantell. Since its debut, the series has been praised for “upping the ante” each season and for its expert cinematography that captures both the beauty and eeriness of a planet under siege.
The first and second seasons of ‘Invasion’ are streaming now on Apple TV+, giving you plenty of time to catch up before the next wave of the invasion begins.
