Paramount+ has confirmed that the second season of Taylor Sheridan’s hit drama ‘Landman‘ will arrive this November, continuing the high-stakes tale of oil, power, and fortune in the boomtowns of West Texas.
The original drama series stars Oscar® winner Billy Bob Thornton (*Goliath*), Oscar® nominee Demi Moore (*Feud: Capote vs. The Swans*), Oscar® nominee Andy Garcia (*The Godfather Part III*), Oscar® nominee Sam Elliott (*1883*), and Ali Larter (*Heroes*), alongside Jacob Lofland (*Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials*), Michelle Randolph (*1923*), Paulina Chávez (*Fate: The Winx Saga*), Kayla Wallace (*When Calls the Heart*), Mark Collie (*Nashville*), James Jordan (*Mayor of Kingstown*), and Colm Feore (*The Umbrella Academy*).
‘Landman’ ranked as a top 10 SVOD original series across all platforms in Q4 2024. Its premiere episode drew a staggering 35 million global streaming viewers, breaking records for Paramount+ as the most-watched Original in the service’s history and becoming its top engagement driver. Billy Bob Thornton also earned a Golden Globe® nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Tommy Norris.
Set in modern-day West Texas, ‘Landman’ is a contemporary story of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. Inspired by the 11-part podcast *Boomtown* from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, the drama blends an upstairs/downstairs look at roughnecks and wildcat billionaires driving an oil boom so massive it is reshaping climate, economies, and geopolitics.
The series is co-created by Taylor Sheridan (*Yellowstone*, *1923*) and Christian Wallace, and executive produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Wallace, Billy Bob Thornton, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Stephen Kay, along with Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch for Imperative Entertainment, and J.K. Nickell and Megan Creydt for Texas Monthly. Tommy Turtle serves as co-executive producer.
