ITVX is heading back into the ruthless world of New York litigation this month as it drops every episode of the iconic legal thriller ‘Damages’. Across five seasons and 59 episodes, viewers can follow the twisted relationship between legendary litigator Patty Hewes, played by Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction, The Wife), and her ambitious protégé Ellen Parsons, portrayed by Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids, Physical). The release marks another excellent addition to ITVX’s boxset line-up of acclaimed older shows, giving audiences the chance to rediscover one of the most talked-about dramas of its era.
Originally airing between 2008 and 2012, ‘Damages’ became known for its season-long cases, with each story exploring a major legal battle from both the law firm’s perspective and that of their opponents. The first season saw Patty and Ellen take on billionaire Arthur Frobisher in a corrupt stock deal, while later seasons tackled toxic waste conspiracies, the fraudulent Tobin family empire, and dangerous military contractors linked to the war in Afghanistan.
