Sky has unveiled the full trailer for its upcoming thriller ‘The Iris Affair‘, a tense and stylish eight-part chase drama from Luther creator Neil Cross, which premieres this October on Sky and NOW.
The series follows enigmatic genius Iris Nixon, played by Niamh Algar (Calm With Horses, The Virtues), who cracks a string of intricate online puzzles that lead her to a piazza in Florence. There she meets charismatic entrepreneur Cameron Beck, played by Tom Hollander (The White Lotus, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans). Cameron lures her into working with him on unlocking a powerful and top-secret piece of technology. Intrigued, Iris accepts – but when she uncovers its dangerous potential, she steals the journal containing the activation sequence and disappears.
What follows is a gripping cat-and-mouse pursuit across Italy, from a remote Sardinian cabin to the bustling streets of Rome, as Cameron chases Iris in a deadly game where trust is a liability and the consequences of failure could prove catastrophic.
The drama also features a stellar supporting cast including Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones, Force Majeure), Harry Lloyd (Arcane, Marcella), Meréana Tomlinson (The Trials), Sacha Dhawan (The Great, Doctor Who), Maya Sansa (Good Morning, Night, Dormant Beauty), Peter Sullivan (Poldark, The Borgias), Debi Mazar (Younger, Entourage), Marco Leonardi (Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, Anime Nere), Angela Bruce (Silver Haze, Doctor Who), and Lorenzo De Moor (A Simple Favor 2, Dolce Fine Giornata).
Created, written, and show-run by Neil Cross, The Iris Affair is directed by Terry McDonough (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) and Sarah O’Gorman (A Gentleman in Moscow, The Witcher). The series is a Sky Studios and Fremantle co-production, with Wildside providing production services in Italy.
‘The Iris Affair‘ Season 1 premieres Thursday, 16th October 2025, on Sky and streaming service NOW.
