The acclaimed Australian drama ‘Bay of Fires’ returns to ITVX this November as the award-nominated series drops its explosive second season on the streamer.
A breakout hit on ITVX last autumn, the first season drew over six million streams and became the #1 drama on its home network in Australia. Now, the story continues as Tasmania’s wild west coast once again plays host to danger, secrets, and a dash of black comedy.
Season two opens with Stella (played by Marta Dusseldorp, Wentworth, A Place to Call Home) now firmly established as leader of the Mystery Bay residents. She’s juggling solo parenting while keeping her criminal bosses in check. Under Stella’s guidance, Mystery Bay is thriving—well, thriving in a chaotic, financially dubious way. But things quickly spiral when she and her children find themselves caught between an unhinged apiarist drug lord, a maniacal doomsday cult, the apparent resurrection of her nemesis Russia, and a looming civil war. As Stella begins to realise she may be at the centre of the chaos, the only way out might be to go back to the source and blow it all sky high.
Returning cast members include Toby Leonard Moore (Billions), Nicholas Bell (Scrublands), Bob Franklin (Please Like Me), Kim Ko (Utopia), Matt Nable (Plum), Roz Hammond (Irreverent), Pamela Rabe (Wentworth), Kerry Fox (The Dressmaker), Andre de Vanny (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries), Ilai Swindells (Retrograde), Imi Mbedla (Australia’s Got Talent), Ava Caryofyllis (The Twelve), Emily Milledge (Fires), Elle Mandalis (The Twelve), and Ben Knight (White Fever). New faces joining the ensemble this season include Benedict Hardie (Total Control), Alex Dimitriades (Strife), and Darren Gilshenan (Colin from Accounts).
‘Bay of Fires’ season two is produced by Archipelago Productions and Fremantle Australia for the ABC, with major production investment from Screen Australia, the ABC, and Screen Tasmania, in association with VicScreen. Executive producers include Brett Sleigh, Alex Baldwin, Louise Smith, Rachel Okine, Andrew Knight, Brett Popplewell, and Greg Sitch, with Marta Dusseldorp and Fiona McConaghy serving as producers. Fremantle handles international distribution.
‘Bay of Fires’ Season 2 premieres Sunday, 30th November 2025 on ITVX. The full first season is streaming now on ITVX.
