What is the Hidden Bunker event
The Hidden Bunker Event in Arc Raiders is a brand-new Map Condition on the Spaceport Map. It is a non-combat mission that requires players to solve a puzzle on the map to unlock some rewards whose value is yet to be determined.
The in-game description for the Hidden Bunker says – “Someone has hacked the Outskirts Bunker’s security system. Find the 4 buttons to unlock the doors, and be the first to plunder the treasure within.”
Here is a quick look at what steps you need to do in order to complete the Hidden Bunker mission:
- Step 1: Go to the Spaceport Map for the conditional event to run.
- Step 2: Search for 4 antennas which are scattered throughout the map and activate them all. Note that their position is different for every game but there exists some chance of repeated patterns.
- Step 3: Once you activate all the 4 antennas, the hidden bunker will open which is located on the South-West side of the Spaceport Map (that is south west to the departure building).
- Step 4: Step inside the bunker and interact with all the 8 Data Terminals.
- Step 5: Download the data and retrieve it.
Finding the Four Antennas
As the event is a map condition for the Spaceport map in Arc Raiders, you will need to select that specific map only. This event is a high stakes race where the entire lobby will be racing for glory. So now lets move on with our very first step after entering the Spaceport battlefield: Looking for the antennas.
There are a total of 4 antennas that are scattered all over the map and your job is to locate them and activate each of them. The pattern they are spawned is one of the cardinal directions: North, East, South and West that makes them predictable if you manage to find even one of the antennas. For example: Let’s say you managed to find an antenna in the North side of the map, then leave that area and start searching in the East, South and West directions from it.
Tip: Look at the rooftops of the building and use the map to spot the antenna icons which indicate their location. So, don’t forget to bring a zipline and buy ARC Raiders Items as utilities to make your expedition easier.
Coming from my personal experience, i found the antennas in the following locations:
- Antenna 1 – Near “Fuel Processing”, northeast side.
- Antenna 2 – Central sector of the map, near a large industrial building.
- Antenna 3 – In the “Fuel Lines” area, west side behind a rusty container.
- Antenna 4 – A building with a partially destroyed roof in the Southwest direction.
Activating the antenna
Once you find an antenna, you will need to activate it by creating a connection. To establish the connection, you will need to physically interact with the terminal which is at the base of the antenna. During your interaction, you will face ARC machines including Hornet and Wasp. Eliminate them to get back to your work. Once the antenna is activated, it will send a lobby wide message saying that an antenna has been successfully activated.
Hidden Bunker Location
Ok, so now assuming that you have successfully activated all the 4 antennas, the gates to the hidden bunker are open now and we are moving forward to the details of the Hidden Bunker.
You will find the Hidden Bunker in between the Fuel Processing unit and the Fuel lines. It is a cave located to the South West of the Departure Building. There are several routes and gates to get into the Bunker but the main one is the middle gray line between the 3 gray lines near the Fuel Processing unit. As we told you before, the event is a high stakes race, so you need to be cautious while entering the Hidden Bunker or even getting near it as players are already keeping their ambush near it. It is recommended that you either sneak in or team up to take them down with force.
Data Collection
At last, after a long fight you are inside the Bunker. It’s time for the final step, which is downloading the data and retrieving it. To do that, you need to find the eight terminals with beacon light, download the data and retrieve it from each of them. The beacon light have three colours:
- Red – Ready to be downloaded or have been retrieved.
- Yellow – In progress
- Green – Ready for retrieval.
If you see the red light, go for the downloading step and while downloading, it will turn yellow. Once the download is done, the light will turn green. This is when you have to retrieve the data and extract it. After that, the terminal will turn red again.
