Apple TV is getting festive as it unveils the first trailer for ‘The First Snow of Fraggle Rock‘, an all-new holiday special arriving this December. The fun-loving Fraggles return for a brand-new musical adventure featuring an unexpected duet partner… none other than internet superstar and musical artist Lele Pons.
This latest trip back into the colourful underground world of Fraggles sees Gobo, Red, Wembley, Mokey and Boober ready to kick off their annual traditions. Although in ‘The First Snow of Fraggle Rock’ things are not quite going to plan. Only a single lonely snowflake appears, and Gobo finds himself unable to write the seasonal song everyone is expecting. To fix things, he heads into the human world they call Outer Space in search of inspiration. Meanwhile, at the Gorgs’ castle, Junior faces a sizeable challenge when a brand-new baby Gorg joins the family.
The special includes a cameo from Lele Pons, who performs a duet of the classic Fraggle tune Our Melody with Gobo, along with two more holiday numbers. It is a story built around the idea that the most meaningful moments are not always perfect, but just like snowflakes, they can be wonderfully unique.
Produced by The Jim Henson Company, ‘The First Snow of Fraggle Rock’ comes from the creative team behind ‘Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock’. Executive producers include Lisa Henson, Halle Stanford, John Tartaglia, Matt Fusfeld, Alex Cuthbertson, Arnon Milchan and Yariv Milchan. Dave Goelz and Karen Prell serve as co-executive producers, with Harvey Mason Jr. as executive music producer. The special is written by Fusfeld and Cuthbertson, produced by Chris Plourde, co-produced by Tim O’Brien and directed by Jon Rosenbaum.
This new holiday special joins a growing slate of Apple TV family content, including ‘Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical’, ‘Lulu Is a Rhinoceros’, ‘BE@RBRICK’, ‘Goldie’, ‘Camp Snoopy’, ‘Frog and Toad’, ‘Me’ and ‘Wonder Pets: In the City’. Kids and families can also find a wide range of award-winning titles currently streaming, from ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ and ‘El Deafo’ to ‘Lovely Little Farm’, ‘Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock’, ‘Harriet the Spy’, ‘Wolfboy and the Everything Factory’, ‘Stillwater’ and more.
