‘ONE PIECE’ Season 2 Teaser Unleashes Baroque Works Villains and First Look at Chopper

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has dropped the first teaser for ONE PIECE Season 2, giving fans an early look at the new threats awaiting the Straw Hat crew as the live-action series sails into its next chapter this March.

The teaser confirms the arrival of Baroque Works, a deadly organisation of assassins who will put Monkey D. Luffy and his crew through their toughest trials yet. As the gang ventures into the dangerous waters of the Grand Line, the tone shifts darker, with fiercer enemies and far higher stakes.

Returning for the new season are Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Jacob Romero as Usopp.

Leading the new villains is Miss All-Sunday, played by Lera Abova, who delivers one of the teaser’s most chilling moments as she warns Luffy that his friends are far more vulnerable than he is. She is joined by Miss Wednesday, portrayed by Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton), alongside a rogues’ gallery that includes Mr. 3, Mr. 5, Miss Valentine, Mr. 9, and Miss Goldenweek. Among the cast additions is David Dastmalchian (The Dark Knight, Dune), taking on the role of Mr. 3.

According to the official synopsis, the new season promises the Straw Hats’ “most perilous quests yet” as they navigate bizarre islands, brutal enemies, and the unpredictable dangers of the Grand Line, all in pursuit of the legendary treasure known as the One Piece.

It is not all villains, though. Season 2 also introduces one of the franchise’s most beloved characters, Tony Tony Chopper. The blue-nosed reindeer-human hybrid will be voiced and facially captured by Mikaela Hoover, bringing the fan-favourite doctor to life in live action for the first time.

Hoover has described Chopper as a character torn between his tough exterior and his enormous heart, a sentiment echoed by series creator Eiichiro Oda, who praised the production team’s work in translating the character from page to screen after extensive development.

ONE PIECE’ Season 2 premieres Monday, 10th March 2026 on Netflix.
