Prime Video and MGM+ have released the first full trailer for ‘Vanished‘, their upcoming four-part mystery thriller, giving us a proper taste of how a supposedly romantic getaway can go catastrophically wrong.
Set against the postcard-perfect backdrop of Paris and southern France, ‘Vanished’ stars Kaley Cuoco (The Flight Attendant, The Big Bang Theory) as Alice, whose dream trip with boyfriend Tom, played by Sam Claflin (Me Before You, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), curdles fast when he disappears during a train journey. What begins as panic quickly spirals into something darker, as Alice uncovers secrets that suggest she may never have truly known the man she was travelling with.
The trailer leans hard into paranoia and emotional unease rather than straightforward action, hinting at conspiracies, hidden identities, and the creeping dread of being utterly alone in a foreign city. Paris looks gorgeous, naturally, but it is very much doing the “beautiful but dangerous” thing here.
Alongside Cuoco and Claflin, the cast also includes Karin Viard (Polisse, The Bélier Family), Matthias Schweighöfer (Oppenheimer, Army of the Dead), Simon Abkarian (Casino Royale, To Take a Wife), and Dar Zuzovsky (The Saints, The Survivor). The series was filmed in and around Paris and Marseille, giving it a glossy European thriller feel that sits somewhere between holiday fantasy and slow-burning nightmare.
Behind the scenes, ‘Vanished’ is created by David Hilton and Preston Thompson, with Thompson also handling the writing, and direction from Barnaby Thompson. The release strategy is, predictably, a little messy. UK viewers will get the full series to binge on Prime Video, while MGM+ is opting for weekly episodes in the US and some other territories.
‘Vanished’ premieres Friday, 27th February 2026, on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland, and Sunday, 1st February 2026, on MGM+ in the US.
