‘Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette’ is set to open Ryan Murphy’s new ‘Love Story’ anthology on Disney+, with the limited series arriving in the UK this February. The drama explores the intense, high-profile romance between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, a relationship that unfolded under relentless public scrutiny and became one of the most talked-about love stories of the late 20th century.
The series stars Sarah Pidgeon as Carolyn Bessette and Paul Anthony Kelly as John F. Kennedy Jr., charting their whirlwind courtship, marriage, and the pressures that came with living life as a modern American royal couple. Inspired by Elizabeth Beller’s book Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, the drama leans into both the glamour and the cost of fame, as media attention threatens to overwhelm a deeply private relationship.
Alongside the central couple, the cast includes Grace Gummer as Caroline Kennedy, Naomi Watts as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Alessandro Nivola as Calvin Klein, Leila George, Sydney Lemmon, and Constance Zimmer. The nine-episode run will launch with a three-episode premiere, followed by weekly episodes.
Behind the scenes, the series is created by Connor Hines and executive produced by Ryan Murphy alongside Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, and a large producing team. Max Winkler directs the opening episode, with the project produced by 20th Television for FX.
‘Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette’ premieres Friday, 13th February 2026 on Disney+ in the UK. The series airs Thursday, February 12th 2026, on FX/Hulu in the USA.
