Apple TV has officially confirmed that ‘Ted Lasso’ will return for its long-awaited fourth season, with the Emmy Award-winning comedy set to make its global debut in summer 2026.
The new season is currently in production and will once again star Jason Sudeikis as the endlessly optimistic American coach, who also continues as an executive producer on the series. Returning alongside him are a host of familiar faces, including Hannah Waddingham (Game of Thrones), Juno Temple (Fargo), Brett Goldstein (Shrinking), Brendan Hunt (Bless the Harts), and Jeremy Swift (Downton Abbey).

Season four also brings several new cast additions into the Ted Lasso world, with Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely all joining the ensemble.
This time around, the story takes a bold new direction. Ted returns to Richmond to face his biggest challenge yet, coaching a second-division women’s football team. Over the course of the season, Ted and his new squad are pushed to take risks, embrace uncertainty, and leap before they look.

Behind the scenes, season four adds Jack Burditt (Nobody Wants This, Modern Family, 30 Rock) as an executive producer under a new overall deal with Apple TV. Sudeikis executive produces alongside Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee and Bill Wrubel, while Brett Goldstein also serves as writer and executive producer with Leann Bowen. Bill Lawrence continues to executive produce via Doozer Productions, alongside Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer, with Warner Bros. Television Studios and Universal Television once again producing.

Since its debut, Ted Lasso has become a genuine cultural phenomenon. The first season broke records as the most Emmy-nominated comedy series ever, with the show going on to win Outstanding Comedy Series for its first two seasons in a rare back-to-back achievement.
‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 does not yet have a premiere date but will stream on Apple TV in the UK in summer 2026. If I want to keep track of this or any other shows, I can add them via our Never Miss system, and I’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.
