Sky Witness is bringing back two fan-favourite US dramas this February, with both ‘The Rookie’ and ‘Watson’ returning to UK screens for brand new seasons. Viewers can expect international stakes, explosive cases, and a familiar face resurfacing from the dead.
‘The Rookie’ returns for its eighth season with an episode titled ‘Czech Mate’, and it immediately raises the scale. John Nolan and the LAPD find themselves pulled into a globe-spanning operation as the LAPD, FBI and Interpol join forces in Prague. Working alongside Monica Stevens, the team targets high-value terrorists operating both inside and outside the United States, setting the tone for a season packed with big action, shifting alliances, and cases that go well beyond LA.
Over on the medical-mystery side, ‘Watson’ is back for season two with ‘A Son in the Oven’. Watson and the fellows are thrown into a deeply unsettling case when Mary’s mother accidentally poisons herself while suffering from a rare form of dementia that is advancing at an impossible rate. Complicating matters further, Sherlock Holmes resurfaces after being presumed dead, with Robert Carlyle appearing as a special guest star in the iconic role.
Both shows will air weekly on Sky Witness and be available to stream on NOW, giving UK viewers a double dose of returning US drama to kick off the spring schedules.
‘Watson’ Season 2 premieres Sunday, 15th February 2026 at 21.00 on Sky Witness & NOW.
‘The Rookie’ Season 8 premieres Tuesday, 17th February 2026 at 21.00 on Sky Witness & NOW.
